Hi, it’s Nicolas from The Family. Here’s an attempt at laying out the equivalent of Kelly Johnson's 14 Rules and Practices, but this time for repositioning legacy corporations in the shift to the Entrepreneurial Age.

One of the key references in the world of corporate reinvention is Lockheed’s legendary Skunk Works—a designation which now “is widely used in business, engineering, and technical fields to describe a group within an organization given a high degree of autonomy and unhampered by bureaucracy, with the task of working on advanced or secret projects”. Kelly Johnson, one of the fathers of the original Skunk Works, once laid out a set of Kelly’s 14 Rules & Practices, which have aged well ❤️
As a tribute to Kelly and his legacy, I’d like to build upon this week’s essay Need To Reinvent Your Corporation? Time’s Running Out. and attempt to write another set of ‘14 Rules & Practices’, this time for repositioning legacy corporations in the current shift to the Entrepreneurial Age.
